A little fun news! One of my paintings and a brief blurb about me are published in the April 2020 "Vogue's Gallery" which went on sale in London on March 6th, 2020.

I haven't seen the glossy printed pages yet, but Vogue sent me PDFs of the feature and the cover so I'm sharing these for you here.

Vogue's Gallery (the print showcase) is, according to Vogue, "designed with the intention of promoting a range of hand-selected, premium artwork that may yet be undiscovered" by Vogue's readership and "industry insiders." They found me on Instagram. Go follow me there if you aren't already! @jennifer.beaudet

Here's the blurb:

The actual painting featured in the magazine’s April 2020 issue had been purchased by a collector at the Montgomery Art Association's Kensington Labor Day show in 2018 after being awarded the First Place prize in the landscape category. I never did meet the collector.

I enjoyed every minute creating this piece and I had a hard time letting the original painting go. I don't feel that way about all of my work. I'm happy that the image is getting out there and that people will get to see it in print and *maybe* find some inspiration.

Prints of "Montgomery County Fair" are available for purchase so please contact me if you are interested.

New Studio in A&M1 in Rockville, MD

You are invited to come see me at my NEW STUDIO at Artists & Makers (A&M) in Rockville, MD. I have some new adventures coming up in the spring (future blog post?) and need a dedicated space. I also so appreciate being involved in the vibrant artist community of A&M that has supported me thus far. So far the experience has been more than welcoming as I've moved many of my materials and art work into my new digs.

I'll be in my studio during the March First Friday. I hope you'll come and visit!

I'm thrilled to be a current featured artist on Artsy Shark! This wonderful organization, run by Carolyn Edlund, is focused on helping artists and creative entrepreneurs realize their potential.

Artsy Shark runs a competitive selection process to be part of their Featured Artists gallery and I was thrilled to be juried into this round. They created a wonderful seven page "magazine style" feature article highlighting my portfolio. The article gives insight into my process and my work. I am excited to share it with you here!

Colorful, Dynamic Oil Portraits and Landscapes by Jennifer Beaudet | Artsy Shark

If you have a moment, take a look at my feature and check out the other interesting featured artist portfolios that Artsy Shark is sharing and promoting.

If you are an artist yourself, I encourage you to submit your portfolio for consideration in their next selection round.

Besides their featured artists program, Artsy Shark shares articles and resources for artists who are interested in getting their work out into the world. Topics include getting into juried shows, networking, working with interior designers, growing your art business, and so much more. Carolyn and her team also offer consulting services such as art website reviews and online courses. I have much to learn from this organization and appreciate having the opportunity to work with them on my feature. Learn more at www.artsyshark.com.
